Due to the unusual
weather we have had this year we are
experiencing a significant shad kill. What
generally takes place is a good spring bite.
A shad kill can affect fish in a negative way
from the long term, but on a general shad kill
will make a productive bite as the water starts
to warm for spring.
Live bait is still your most affective method during this period. Float n
fly still good on cloudy days and shady banks up
to the water temperature of approx 52-55
degrees, then faster bait presentations can be
utilized such as crank baits, spinner baits and
plastics.
For a good tip watch the bait and progress your techniques by what they
are doing.

Up weekend - March 13-14 saw many or our
moorage customers stop in and spend some
